I have made a first attempt to create a worksheet for ship designs that is using drop down lists. Please try it out and tell me what I've missed. tjatte.itslabb.bth.se/~aeb/stellar/I also had to add a new shipdesign sheet because there were some problems with copying to Erics.

Sweet! Great job. I didn't even know all that stuff was possible in Excel. Do you mind if this becomes the official ship design sheet?

No, not at all. Please use it. I'm trying to make the same thing for the turnsheet but it's a bit harder. Are you using any automated reading or are you reading our turns by "hand"?

Reading them by hand.

Well... I don't have Excel, so this doesn't work for me. However, I was able to peek at the contents (I have Excel Viewer), and it looks like a very handy tool. Nice job.
Now, maybe you would permit me to try to replicate this using MS (almost) Works??

Thanks. If you can make it work in works so try it. I have never used it so I don't know what you can do with it.
I started to create a turn sheet but it got to complex for my skills, I'll try to make it in a database when I have the time.

Good work yet again!
For those who don't have Excel I would like you to know that I plan to add a web based ship and station design utility to the website so that everyone can have a good ship and station design sheet. It's at the bottom of my to-do list right under changing the website to a better host.

Nice work, Ancaeus. I planned on doing something similar, but didn't have the time yet.
Eric, if you need a free host to shift site and forum to, I could give you a hint to mine (no ads, unlimited webspace (every file <1mb though), php support, 1 mysql database).

Excellent, that sounds like a very good host. Email me the address if you would be so kind and I'll check it out.

I'll send you a pm regarding web-design and hosting, since cross-posting in various threads make the board cluttered

I don't know if there is anyone more than I that makes a lot of surveys each turn. Instead of changing one value for each line I created a homepage that generates multiple surveys in just five clicks. It is located on the same page as my other tools. tjatte.itslabb.bth.se/~aeb/stellar/

You could also use the following format to survey from (01/01) to say (01/13):
Survey (01/01) * (01/13)
This was done by a player, I can't remember who at the moment, I had planned to put it in the manual update but I forgot about it.

Survey (01/01) * (01/13) This was done by a player, I can't remember who at the moment, I had planned to put it in the manual update but I forgot about it. There was a prefix in my turn to prevent mis-communication ;D Survey Planet = ROW from (01/01) to (01/13) Should work with both, but I found mine to be more easy to remember. This is just me, though. If I have too much abstract logical elements (like the commands) to think about, I get a headache ;D
